Makes 24 servings

INGREDIENTS

  • 400g potato or sweet potato
  • Olive or canola oil spray
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbs korma curry paste
  • 3/4 cup frozen peas
  • 1/3 coriander stalks and leaves, roughly chopped
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • 8 sheets Mountain bread wraps

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Steam or microwave diced potatoes until tender.
  3. In a pan, cook onion for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then, add garlic, mustard seeds and ginger and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add curry paste and cook further for 1 minute, stirring continuously until fragrant.
  5. Mix potatoes, peas, coriander and lemon juice into the onion mixture.
  6. Cut each piece of Mountain bread wraps into thirds, making 24 even strips. Place 2 teaspoons of curry onto one corner of a strip. Fold the end diagonally to form a small triangle, compressing the filling tightly. Continue folding from point to point until the end of the strip.
  7. Repeat with the remaining bread and curry mix.
  8. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place triangles seam-side down. Spray the top lightly with oil.
  9. Cook in the oven for 10 minutes, turn samosas over and cook for another 15 minutes or until golden and crisp.
When we tap into our creativity, it fosters a sense of control relaxation, pleasure and motivation. As this happens, our brains also shift away from stress and anxiety. What makes art so special?

Your mind enters a flow state

When participating in art activities, our mind can go into a unique cognitive state known as flow. This state is described as total engagement, intense focus, and a sense of timelessness and can bring immense fulfillment, happiness and motivation to the artist.

You learn new skills

Engaging in art allows us to explore new skills and creative techniques. We learn these skills through a complex interplay of experience, observing others and through social interactions. When new skills are mastered, it can bring a sense of accomplishment and personal growth.

Art fosters a sense of belonging

Humans are social creatures. Being a part of a creativity group not only provides the opportunity to meet new people who share similar interests but also provides a sense of belonging, comfort, connection and improved mental wellbeing.
